Nadi Airport RESA, Nadi, Fiji (2016)

To comply with the new civil aviation regulations there was a requirement to provide a Runway End Safety Area at each end of each runway at Nadi International Airport. This involved excavation and providing 18,000m3 premium aggregate from our Saru Quarry, compacted to 500mm depth. This was then overlayed with geofabric and topsoil and the grass allowed to regrow. This work was carried out on an active runway and at nights.
