SOLAR ARRAY FOR VERGNET, TAWARA, KIRIBATI

Flame Tree were engaged by the French company, Vergnet SA to provide the logistics, site works and foundations for a 500kW solar array in Bonriki on Kiribati Island. This is the one of the most remote places in the Pacific and required considerable logistical capability to complete this project ahead of time and budget. This involved transporting by barge all the plant, equipment, site setup and materials from Fiji to Tarawa, clearing and leveling of site, including supply and placing of 600 concrete beams on which the panels were erected, 2,000m of fibre optic cabling and 860m of fencing.
